The sandal-making workshop is dedicated to the people who assist to the community kitchens of the network and have the time and motivation to manufacture and sell these famous shoes. This project is designed for people and then create jobs, give a formation to the people and also income in order to improve their quality of life. The workshop runs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 to 12 hours.
The community kitchen Alimentar Enseñando is now equipped with all the tools for the manufacturing process. There is a good working environment, with a mechanical press and templates for cutting soles and industrial sewing machine. All material is ready and actually works to produce about 20 pairs per day. It is estimated to employ directly 10 beneficiary families.
